Hi there! Thanks for checking out my humble blog- Catching Katie. About me- I’m Katie, a teacher and adventure seeker living in Ohio. From the time that I took my first trip to France at the age of 15 I was enthralled with experiencing new cultures. I also have a problem with relaxing, in that I can’t do it. I always want to be doing something, checking out somewhere new, or trying a new experience. Having an adventure doesn’t mean you have to go far, you can also find something thrilling in your own neighborhood.
Where do I go?
Most of my trips involve trips overseas (especially Europe), National Parks, and road trips around Ohio or around Phoenix which is where my family lives. I constantly have a goal to experience something new every month. I really want to see and experience it all- give me a check list and I’m all over it. However, as much I want to do it all, I have two problems: I’m not the best planner (I’m more of an in-the-moment adventurer), and I have a serious budget. Sound like you? Allow me to give you some inspiration for your next trip, with ideas to help you with traveling inexpensively, or at the very least give you some good stories and pictures from my trips.
I travel solo, with my friends, sometimes I hike with my dog, or sometimes with one of the many ex-boyfriends I’ve had (my dating stories used to be included on this blog, but it’s become too tragic). And I hope that my readers feel like they are along on the trip with me. And I’m always looking for new ideas so please share away!
